A friend list in Monopoly GO is really a working group, not a trophy shelf. You'll feel the difference once you join a Monopoly Go Partners Event with someone who actually checks in and spends their tokens. Friends don't sit around one shared board like the old tabletop game. Everybody has their own map, landmarks, dice, and cash. The connection happens through sticker swaps, Community Chest tasks, partner builds, rent, Shutdowns, and heists. That's why a handful of dependable people can beat a huge list of strangers who never open the app.
Start by adding people you know will play at least a few times a week. A current Friend Code is often the easiest route, though shared invites and contact syncing can work too. Check the in-game name before you send anything valuable. It sounds obvious, but players with similar avatars get mixed up all the time. For Community Chest, pick friends who land on Community spaces and clear their shared jobs instead of simply picking the highest-level accounts. High net worth looks nice, but it doesn't unlock a chest if that player has vanished for six days. Keep your expectations plain with event partners as well. A quick "I can do half" message saves a lot of awkwardness later.

Sticker trading is where a good group starts paying off. If you have a spare regular sticker, sending it directly is fine when you trust the person or you're helping them finish a set. For a trade, use the exchange option. It stops the usual "I sent mine, where's yours?" problem. Don't throw away every duplicate, though. Those stars may matter when you're close to opening a vault or chasing album rewards. Gold stickers are a separate headache. They can usually move only during selected trading windows, so check the event rules before promising one. And if a friend asks for the same rare card every day, it's okay to say you're holding it for an exchange.
There's also no need to act offended when a friend hits your landmark or lands a decent Bank Heist. That's part of the game. Still, repeated attacks on one person can make a group go sour fast, especially when you need those same people for trades and builds. Keep the rivalry light, then show up when a partner event needs work. If you're tempted to buy Monopoly Go Partners Event support for a busy stretch, treat it as a way to protect a commitment rather than replace communication. The players worth keeping are the ones who trade fairly, contribute before the timer runs out, and don't disappear after claiming the easy rewards.
